ZOPHIA ENGINEERING LTD was founded in 1993. The firm’s Founder and Manager is Binyamin Dana-Picard, Ingénieur Civil des Ponts et Chaussées, and MSc in Transportation and Traffic Engineering, University of California, Berkeley. He has held various key positions in the public sector in the past, first in France and since 1981, in Israel.

As an Engineering Firm, ZOPHIA ENGINEERING LTD has been involved since its creation in a variety of Land Transport, Traffic and Road Safety Projects, and since 1997 in Highway Design. It has served or acted as a consultant to Government and Municipal Public Agencies as well as Private companies and Investors.

The Firm main office has been located for 25 years in Jerusalem, the Holy City. A secondary branch opened in Bet El in 2015. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided in 2021 to close the Jerusalem office and concentrate all activities in Bet El and develop the office there.

Our activities extend to the whole country.

For specific assignments, requiring a multidisciplinary know-how, high level professionals join ZOPHIA ENGINEERING LTD permanent team. Among them, Computer, Management, Electricity and Road Lighting, Environment, Construction Engineers, Architects, a Statistician as well as site managers.

The Firm is equipped with up-to-date computers and software. All the design is done digitally (AutoCAD, Civil CAD, Flexi and self-developed applications). So are the administrative and the communication with our correspondents.

The languages known fluently at ZOPHIA ENGINEERING LTD are besides Hebrew, English, French, Russian and German.

ZOPHIA ENGINEERING LTD enjoys an excellent reputation in Israel with the Administration as well as with Investors, due to its high-level achievements and its reliability.

Due to our know-how and our experience, we act both as Designers and as Consultants. As such, we accompany, verify and finally approve projects designed by other Firms. We issue expert opinions to Statutory Committees and Courts.

Our domain of action extends from Feasibility Studies to Detailed Design in all aspects of Transportation and Traffic Infrastructures: Junctions, Interchanges, Interchange Systems, both urban and interurban, Parking facilities, including computerized solutions, Signage and Signposting, Traffic Lights, Pedestrian and Bicycle facilities, Public Transport, Road Safety.

Our clients include ministries, public companies and local collectivities on the one hand, and investors in commercial and industrial zones, real estate and sports projects, and natural parks on the other.
